1. The public can unite into groups such as Extinction Rebellion that will hold the politicians accountable for making new, mandatory laws that will direct progress towards less greenhouse gas emissions, such as: the banning of gas-powered lawn and snow equipment, banning of plastic bags and single-use plastic, more vegan options in restaurants, no natural gas on new construction, designated areas where notices can be posted about sustainability, mandating public AC plugs and/or electric vehicle chargers in new construction, banning of pesticides ahd hebicides, and other progressive laws.
2. Ramp down greenhouse gas causing activities, such as eating less meat, using public transportation or electric vehicles, stop using gas-powered equipment, and choose a renewable electricity supplier.
