Coyote Christianity Page Three

The very first Gospel that was ever written was the Gospel of Mark.

This is the very first telling of the story of Jesus Christ.

Since it is the first writing about this subject, it should be regarded as the most authentic.

The second Gospel that was written was that of Matthew.

Therefore, the Gospel of Matthew should be regarded as the second-most authentic Gospel.

In these two Gospels, nowhere does it claim that accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior

is the only way to reach true salvation.

It is only with the later teachings of Peter (an apostle who tried to interpret Psalms to imply that Jesus is the one we should pray to in a way that does not make sense) and John (apparently a more poetic soul)

and then of course by the teachings of Apostle Paul in the books after the Gospels (such as Acts)

do we see the teaching about accepting Jesus as a personal savior.

I think the whole subject of accepting Jesus as a personal savior is a giant distraction

from the teachings that Jesus was trying to give, namely to treat each other better,

love thy neighbor and to love God.

It is also not so simple to love, this is something that is worth reflection.

Coyote Christianity is based on the original teachings of Jesus,

and not so much some of the interpretations from Peter, Paul, and the original official church.
